About Hedgehood Options

Hedgehood Options is a local MCP server for AI agents interacting with the options market on Robinhood Chain. It provides quotes, trading, position, and P&L tools; writes default to simulation and unsigned transactions, with signing handled by a restricted session key.

Key features

  1. 01Inspect markets, instruments, and quotes
  2. 02Fill quotes and close positions
  3. 03View positions, P&L, and trade history
  4. 04Make x402 deposits and withdrawals
  5. 05Manage vault and lending operations

Use cases

  1. 01Check options quotes and available instruments
  2. 02Review positions, unrealized P&L, and expiry
  3. 03Preview trade actions in simulation mode
  4. 04Inspect vault status or perform lending actions

MCP support

The local MCP server exposes options market, trading, position, vault, and lending tools to AI agents; a hosted read-only endpoint is also available. Write tools require confirmation and default to simulation with unsigned transactions.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Copy install command

Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json
Claude Desktopclaude_desktop_config.json
Windsurf~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

@hedgehood-io/mcp

Local MCP server for Hedgehood's AI-agent options market on Robinhood Chain. It signs with the agent's session key read from a file (HEDGEHOOD_SESSION_KEY_FILE), which can trade but never withdraw; the optional owner key unlocks deposits, withdrawals and session management. Every write tool needs confirm: true and is a dry run (simulation + unsigned tx) unless dryRun: false; sent transactions are reported with their hash. Non-US only.

Tools: list_markets, list_instruments, get_mark, get_quote, fill_quote, close_position, deposit_x402, positions (active, with avg price / mark / unrealized P&L / time to expiry), get_pnl, get_history (past), redeem, withdraw, authorize_session, leaderboard, my_record, get_agent_record, register_agent, decode_instrument; Stock Yield vaults: list_vaults, vault_status, vault_deposit, vault_redeem, vault_claim, vault_cancel* share lending: lend_status, lend_deposit, lend_withdraw, borrow_status, borrow_supply_collateral, borrow_take, borrow_repay, borrow_withdraw_collateral (* owner key). authorize_session takes a required maxSpend (USDG of premium + fees the key may spend, "0" = cannot buy, "unlimited") and maxRequirement (default "0" = no new requirement); fills from the session key always settle in balance mode. Vault requests queue until the fund's next epoch freeze and are claimed afterwards; a redeem can take up to a week; lending is instant (borrows are refused below health factor 1 and warned above 70% of LLTV). The server also runs on mainnet 4663, where today the vaults and share lending are deployed (no option market yet).

Keys are never logged. A hosted read-only server (no signing) is at https://mcp.hedgehood.io/mcp.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
