Details

From the project README

@nhtio/adk

This repository is a read-only, sanitized public source mirror for @nhtio/adk.

The NHT team maintains this project through our internal development workflow. Issue triage, pull requests, release preparation, and CI workflows happen before updates are published here.

This mirror is provided for source availability and public visibility only. It is not the maintenance repository. We don’t take PRs here; please fork. Issues may be reviewed and handled by NHT at our convenience, but no response or resolution timeline is guaranteed.

TL;DR

This is a work product that NHT is open sourcing because we think it may be useful to others. We cannot commit to working for the open source community, but this mirror gives you the ability to fork the project and add whatever features you need for yourself.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
