About ColorsMCP - Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server

ColorsMCP is a .NET 9.0 MCP server for accessing information about colors. It offers STDIO, HTTP Streamable, and SSE deployment options, including Docker and Azure Function projects.

Key features

  1. 01Access color information
  2. 02Run over STDIO
  3. 03Deploy with HTTP Streamable
  4. 04Use SSE with Azure Functions

Use cases

  1. 01Connect an MCP client to color knowledge
  2. 02Run the server through STDIO
  3. 03Deploy an HTTP server in Docker
  4. 04Host an SSE server with Azure Functions

MCP support

Exposes color knowledge to MCP clients. The project supports STDIO, HTTP Streamable, and SSE transports, with OAuth authentication and authorization available for its HTTP Streamable Docker image.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
