Key features

  1. 01Create branches automatically
  2. 02Manage files singly or in batches
  3. 03Create and fork repositories
  4. 04Search code, issues, PRs, and users
  5. 05Preserve Git history and report errors

Use cases

  1. 01Create or update repository files
  2. 02Search GitHub code and issues
  3. 03Fork repositories and create branches

MCP support

Exposes GitHub API operations to MCP clients, including file and repository management and search. The README also describes nexy-cron and SocialNexy services.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"NexyA2A": {
"command": "docker",
"args": [
"run",
"-i",
"--rm",
"build"
]
}
}
}
Run commanddocker run -i --rm build

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
