SMMS_Semantic-Map-MCP-Server
LocalAbout SMMS_Semantic-Map-MCP-Server
SMMS_Semantic-Map-MCP-Server provides MCP access to instance-level semantic maps and 3D object functions. It is intended for systems that manage semantic object data, retrieve it with RAG, or build task-driven cognitive topology maps.
Key features
- 01Add, update, delete, and query semantic objects
- 02RAG retrieval over semantic object data
- 03Generate task-driven cognitive topology maps
Use cases
- 01Managing 3D instance objects in semantic maps
- 02Retrieving semantic object information
- 03Building task-driven cognitive topology maps
MCP support
Exposes semantic-map and 3D instance-object functions through an MCP server.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.
Details
From the project READMESMMS_Semantic-Map-MCP-Server
The repository SMMS creates an MCP server for instance-level semantic maps and provides a series of functional modules for 3D instance objects in semantic maps.
- Establish a database based on the semantic map to realize the addition, modification, deletion and query of semantic object information.
- Establish RAG retrieval based on the semantic object information library.
- Explore the object-level cognitive map generation method and build a task-driven cognitive topology map.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
