Data Persistence
Your tasks are automatically saved to your browser's localStorage, meaning they'll persist between sessions. The application includes:
- Automatic saving: All changes are saved immediately
- Visual feedback: A subtle "Saved" indicator appears when data is stored
- Data recovery: Your tasks will be restored when you return to the app
- Backward compatibility: Existing tasks are automatically migrated to support new features
- Development utilities: Use browser console commands for data management
Task Management Features
Priority Levels
Tasks can be assigned three priority levels with visual indicators:
- High Priority (Red badge): Critical tasks that need immediate attention
- Medium Priority (Yellow badge): Standard tasks with normal importance
- Low Priority (Green badge): Tasks that can be completed when time allows
Due Dates & Overdue Detection
- Set specific due dates when creating or editing tasks
- Visual due date display shows the formatted date
- Overdue Detection: Tasks past their due date automatically display "Overdue" indicators with red styling and subtle animations
- Sort tasks by due date to prioritize upcoming deadlines
Smart Sorting Options
Organize your tasks with multiple sorting options:
- Priority: High → Medium → Low priority order
- Due Date: Earliest due dates first (tasks without dates appear last)
- Alphabetical: A-Z sorting by task text
- Created: Newest tasks first (default)
Enhanced Editing
Double-click any task to edit:
- Update task text
- Change priority level
- Modify due date
- All changes save automatically
Development Console Utilities
When running in development mode, you have access to these console commands:
// Clear all stored data
todoUtils.clearAllData()
// Export your data as JSON
const backup = todoUtils.exportData()
// Import data from a backup
todoUtils.importData(backup)
// View current todos
todoUtils.getCurrentTodos()
// Show help
todoUtils.help()

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
