About Atako

Atako provides a hosted remote MCP server for accessing company AI agents and account data. Organizations can use scoped API keys and toolsets to control which read and write operations MCP clients can access.

Key features

  1. 01Manage agents and conversations
  2. 02Access files and integrations
  3. 03Work with projects and kanban boards
  4. 04Inspect organization and dashboard data
  5. 05Select tools by toolset and API-key scope

Use cases

  1. 01Use an MCP client to manage company agents
  2. 02Review project cards and conversation activity
  3. 03Limit an integration to selected toolsets
  4. 04Expose read-only access with a scoped key

MCP support

The hosted server uses Streamable HTTP and exposes tools for Atako agents, chats, files, integrations, projects, organization data, and more. Clients connect to authenticated or public endpoints; the public endpoint provides three informational tools.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

From the project README

Atako MCP server

Atako is a platform of AI agents for companies. Its remote MCP server lets an MCP client (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT developer mode…) read and act on an Atako account: agents, chat, files, integrations, projects, organization, billing state.

Registry entry: ai.atako/mcp (JSON) — manifest in server.json. Full documentation: docs.atako.ai.

This repository holds the registry manifest and connection instructions only. The server is hosted by Atako; there is nothing to install or run.

Endpoints

Both use the Streamable HTTP transport.

API key

app.atako.ai → Settings → API keys → Create key (company admins). The key is shown once.

ScopeOver MCP
ReadRead-only tools only; write tools are neither listed nor callable.
Read & writeAll tools, with the permissions of the key's owner.

Billing and subscription changes are not exposed by any tool. OAuth integrations return a consent URL to open in a browser.

Toolsets

Restrict the served tools with ?toolsets= (comma-separated). Without it, all toolsets are served.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
