About Dynamic Pricing & Overbooking

A remote yield-management MCP server for businesses selling perishable capacity, such as hotels, venues, clinics, and rental services. It recommends prices and booking controls from demand and capacity data, but does not change prices automatically.

Key features

  1. 01Price recommendations from demand and capacity
  2. 02Protection levels for higher-value segments
  3. 03Elasticity estimates from sales history
  4. 04Overbooking limits and denial-risk estimates
  5. 05Booking-pace alerts and explanations

Use cases

  1. 01Set hotel room prices as deadlines approach
  2. 02Set ticket or service-slot overbooking limits
  3. 03Protect capacity for higher-value customer segments

MCP support

Exposes pricing, elasticity, protection-level, overbooking, show-rate, and booking-pace tools to MCP clients over Streamable HTTP. OAuth 2.1 is used for sign-in.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Dynamic Pricing & Overbooking

Yield-management math over booking, capacity and price data for perishable capacity — hotel rooms, event tickets, rental equipment, clinic slots, restaurant covers. Recommends the price now, protection levels for higher-value segments, elasticity, a safe overbooking limit, and alerts when booking pace runs ahead or behind. Returns ranges and the probability of denying service; it does not auto-execute prices.

Install

VS Code / GitHub Copilot

Add to .vscode/mcp.json (workspace) or your user mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "saifs-revenue-optimization": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://revenue-optimizer-mcp-microsoft.saifs.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Then start the server from the MCP view and sign in when prompted.

Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http saifs-revenue-optimization https://revenue-optimizer-mcp-microsoft.saifs.ai/mcp
Any other MCP client

Point it at https://revenue-optimizer-mcp-microsoft.saifs.ai/mcp using the Streamable HTTP transport. The server returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate: Bearer … resource_metadata=… challenge, so OAuth-aware clients sign in automatically.

Tools

ToolWhat it does
denied_service_riskProbability and expected number of customers turned away at a booking limit.
estimate_elasticityHow demand responds to price from price and sales history.
explain_recommendationThe revenue-management logic and assumptions behind a recommendation.
optimal_overbookingBooking limit that maximises expected profit given show-up rate.
optimize_priceRecommended price now from remaining capacity, days to deadline and demand.
protection_levelsHow much capacity to protect for higher-value segments (Littlewood / EMSR).
recommend_overbookingSafe overbooking level from no-show rate, capacity and costs.
show_rate_estimateShow-up rate by route, day or segment with confidence.
watch_booking_paceAlert when booking pace runs ahead or behind, triggering price moves.

Example prompts

  • “How many rooms should we overbook?”
  • “Set fare buckets for next week”
  • “What price maximizes revenue?”

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
