About BadRooBot-test_m
BadRooBot-test_m is a Smithery-built MCP server project with setup instructions for running and testing a server. The README demonstrates a greeting tool and describes a browser-based scraping setup, but does not specify a complete set of server capabilities.
Key features
- 01Run the server with `uv`
- 02Test interactively with the playground
- 03Build and run with Docker
- 04Serve an MCP endpoint at `/mcp`
Use cases
- 01Try the greeting example tool
- 02Test server behavior in the playground
- 03Run the server in a Docker container
MCP support
Serves an MCP endpoint at `/mcp` for MCP clients, locally on port 8081 in the documented Docker setup.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Details
From the project READMEtest
An MCP server built with Smithery.
Prerequisites
- Smithery API key: Get yours at smithery.ai/account/api-keys
Getting Started
-
Run the server:
uv run dev -
Test interactively:
uv run playground
Try saying "Say hello to John" to test the example tool.
Run with Docker
Build the image (from the project root):
docker build -t hello-server .
Run the container:
docker run --rm -p 8081:8081 --shm-size=1g hello-server
Notes:
- The server listens on
0.0.0.0:8081and serves the MCP endpoint at/mcp. --shm-size=1gimproves browser stability for Playwright/Firefox-based scraping.
You can now connect an MCP client to:
http://localhost:8081/mcp
Development
Your server code is in src/hello_server/server.py. Add or update your server capabilities there.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
