Pledr Legal MCP

An Indian legal MCP server: search Supreme Court of India judgments from Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok and Cursor, with real citations.

Pledr connects your AI assistant to a searchable index of about 30,000 Supreme Court of India judgments. Instead of answering from memory, the assistant retrieves the actual paragraphs and returns each one with its case name, citation, paragraph references and a link to the official judgment.

Why

General-purpose AI models sometimes invent case names and citations. Pledr gives them a real source to search first, so every authority can be checked against the official judgment.

Features

  • Passage-level search over Supreme Court of India judgments
  • Plain-English scenarios, statute and section questions, and citation lookups, including neutral (INSC) citations
  • Every result carries the citation, paragraph references and a link to the official judgment
  • Works with any MCP client that supports remote servers
  • Sign in with Google or email; free during early access (30 searches per day)

Quick start

  1. In your assistant, add a custom connector (remote MCP server) with this address:

    https://legal.pledr.in/mcp

  2. Sign in with Google or your email when prompted.

  3. Ask a question, for example:

    • "Find Supreme Court judgments on anticipatory bail conditions, with citations and paragraph numbers."
    • "Look up 2023 INSC 123 and summarise what it decides."

Step-by-step instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok and Cursor are at https://www.pledr.in/tutorial/.

Coverage and limits

  • Supreme Court of India judgments only. High Courts and tribunals are not covered yet.
  • Summaries are AI-generated research aids. Always read the linked official judgment before relying on a citation.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
