About akshare_mcp
akshare_mcp wraps AKShare data interfaces in an MCP server for users who want to access financial data through MCP. It can expose over 1,000 interfaces, with a configuration file to select which ones are enabled.
Key features
- 01Wraps AKShare data interfaces
- 02Exposes over 1,000 interfaces
- 03Selects interfaces through configuration
Use cases
- 01Enable selected financial data interfaces
- 02Let MCP clients call AKShare data
MCP support
The project makes AKShare interfaces available to MCP clients as tools. A configuration file can limit which interfaces are exposed.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

{
"mcpServers": {
"akshare_mcp": {
"command": "D:\\Users\\Kan\\miniconda3\\envs\\py312\\python.exe",
"args": [
"-m",
"akshare_mcp",
"--format",
"markdown"
]
}
}
}
Trae
config.py,添加需要使用的接口。
python -m akshare_mcp --config D:\config.py

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
