Aop Mcp Server — Agent Executable Compliance Documentation
LocalAbout Aop Mcp Server — Agent Executable Compliance Documentation
AOP MCP Server gives AI agents structured access to compliance protocols, starting with Colorado AI Act deployer requirements. It supports protocol discovery, schema retrieval, deployer checks, and gap assessments for organizations implementing compliance documentation.
Key features
- 01List compliance protocols
- 02Retrieve protocol details and schemas
- 03Assess gaps against requirements
- 04Check Colorado AI Act deployer status
Use cases
- 01Check whether an organization is an Act deployer
- 02Find documentation requirements for a protocol
- 03Assess compliance gaps against requirements
MCP support
The MCP server exposes five tools for protocol listing and retrieval, schema access, compliance assessment, and Colorado AI Act deployer classification. It connects to the AOP API; browsing protocols requires no API key, while full document access and generation require a license key.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

What is this?
An MCP server that gives AI agents direct access to compliance protocols — starting with Colorado AI Act (SB 24-205) deployer documentation.
Instead of reading PDFs, your agent can:
- Check if an organization is a deployer under the Act
- List available compliance protocols
- Pull structured protocol schemas for automated implementation
- Assess compliance gaps against specific requirements
Quick Start
Claude Desktop / Cursor / Windsurf
Add to your MCP config:
{
"mcpServers": {
"aop": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "aop-mcp-server"]
}
}
}

Example: Colorado AI Act Check
Ask your AI assistant:
"Am I a deployer under the Colorado AI Act? We use AI in our hiring process and serve Colorado residents."
The agent will call colorado_ai_act_check and return:
- Whether you're classified as a deployer

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
