MCP support

A hosted Streamable HTTP MCP server exposing API discovery, paid API calls, credit management, and web-content retrieval tools. Access uses a Bearer token.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

ParameterTypeRequiredDescription
typeenumNoOptional filter. 'api' = standard REST APIs, 'content' = content gateways that proxy a fixed upstream URL.api | content
querystringYesRequired free-text query matched against service name and description (case-insensitive substring match). Use 1-3 keywords describing the capability you want, e.g. 'weather' or 'stock price'.
categorystringNoOptional exact-match filter. Valid values: ai, data, search, finance, media, infra, communication, content, travel.
max_price_microdollarsnumberNoOptional upper bound on price per request in microdollars (1 USD = 1,000,000 microdollars, so 10000 = $0.01). Services whose cheapest endpoint exceeds this are excluded.

Quick start

Claude Desktop / Cursor / Codex

Add to your MCP config:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "apihub": {
      "url": "https://mcp.apihub.io/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer ahk_your_api_key"
      }
    }
  }
}
APIHub CLI
npx @apihubio/cli install # writes the MCP config for you
npx @apihubio/cli register # get an API key
npx @apihubio/cli topup 10   # fund with $10 USDC

Why credits instead of per-call x402

  • Gasless: pay on-chain once when topping up, not per request
  • Walletless: no USDC, no EIP-3009 signing, no gas
  • Works in any MCP client: just a Bearer token header
  • Instant: D1 debit at the edge, no block confirmations per call

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
