MCP support
The remote MCP server exposes tools for currency lookup, quotes, transaction creation and tracking, and provider listing. It uses Streamable HTTP at https://mcp.flashift.app/mcp and requires no API key.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Quick start
Remote (recommended)
Add Flashift to any MCP client that supports remote Streamable HTTP servers (Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, and others):
{
"mcpServers": {
"flashift": {
"url": "https://mcp.flashift.app/mcp"
}
}
}
Local (stdio bridge)
For clients that only support stdio servers, connect through mcp-remote:
{
"mcpServers": {
"flashift": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.flashift.app/mcp"]
}
}
}
Requires Node.js 18 or newer.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http flashift https://mcp.flashift.app/mcp
Tools
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
get_currencies | Lists supported currencies and networks. Filter by symbol, network, or search, and cap results with limit (default 50). |
get_estimated_amount | Quotes a swap across all providers: estimated output, min/max limits, rate type, and AI tags. |
create_transaction | Creates a swap with a chosen provider and returns a deposit address. |
get_transaction_info | Returns real-time status for an existing swap. |
get_providers | Lists the exchange providers Flashift aggregates and whether each is available. |

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
