About BPMN Kit
BPMN Kit provides casen, a command-line tool for Camunda 8, for process developers managing clusters, deploying processes, and monitoring instances. It also supports local editing and simulation, connector-template generation, and Camunda 7 model migration.
Key features
- 01Manage Camunda 8 profiles
- 02Deploy BPMN, DMN, and form files
- 03Query and manage process instances and jobs
- 04Generate and apply connector templates
- 05Generate TypeScript types for job workers
- 06Migrate Camunda 7 models
Use cases
- 01Edit and simulate process files locally
- 02Deploy process definitions to Camunda 8 clusters
- 03Review instances and incidents from the terminal
- 04Check generated types or migration issues in CI
MCP support
The website links to documentation for an MCP server, but the supplied README does not describe its MCP server functionality or exposed capabilities.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
npx -y @bpmnkit/cliZEEBE_ADDRESSCamunda 8 / Reebe REST address when no casen profile is active (default http://localhost:26500)ZEEBE_CLIENT_IDOAuth client ID for Camunda SaaSZEEBE_CLIENT_SECRETSecretOAuth client secret for Camunda SaaSLocal servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

Overview
@bpmnkit/cli provides the casen command-line tool for interacting with Camunda 8 clusters. Manage profiles, deploy processes, run queries, and generate connector templates — all from your terminal.
Installation
npm install -g @bpmnkit/cli
# or
pnpm add -g @bpmnkit/cli
Quick Start
Develop locally — no cluster needed
casen dev
Opens every .bpmn, .dmn and .form file in the folder in the BPMN Kit editor in your
browser, with simulation. Saves go back to disk with the file's formatting kept, changes made
elsewhere reload live, and each change re-runs lint and the file's .bpmn.tests.json
scenarios. See casen dev.
Configure a profile
# Camunda SaaS: the credentials file Hub offers for a cluster's API client
casen profile import my-cluster ./camunda-credentials.sh
casen profile use my-cluster
Deploy a process
casen deploy deploy order-process.bpmn --target camunda8
List process instances
casen pi list --filter '{"state":"ACTIVE"}'

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
