About Hash Generator X402
Hash Generator X402 is an MCP server and pay-per-call API for producing cryptographic hashes from text. It supports MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-512, and bcrypt, with results including the algorithm and hash length.
Key features
- 01Generate hashes from text
- 02Support five hash algorithms
- 03Return algorithm and hash length
Use cases
- 01Creating text checksums
- 02Verifying data integrity
- 03Generating hashes for utility workflows
MCP support
Exposes the crypto_generate_hash tool to MCP clients, accepting text and an optional algorithm. Calls use x402 micropayments in USDC on Base.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Cryptographic hash generator supporting MD5, SHA1, SHA256, SHA512, and bcrypt. Pay-per-call via x402 (USDC on Base L2) -- no API key, no signup, no rate-limit wall.
Part of the klymax402 marketplace -- 100 x402 micropayment APIs for AI agents, one wallet, USDC on Base.
Quickstart -- MCP
Add to your MCP client config (Claude Desktop, Cursor, ElizaOS, etc.):
{
"mcpServers": {
"hash-generator": {
"url": "https://hash-generator.api.klymax402.com/mcp"
}
}
}
Quickstart -- HTTP (x402)
curl -X POST "https://hash-generator.api.klymax402.com/api/hash" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"text":"..."}'
# -> 402 Payment Required, with an x402 payment challenge in the response body
Any x402-aware client (@x402/fetch, x402-agent-tools, ATXP) handles the 402 -> sign -> retry cycle automatically.

crypto_generate_hash
Use this when you need to generate a cryptographic hash of text. Supports md5, sha1, sha256, sha512, and bcrypt algorithms. Returns the hash string, algorithm used, and hash length. Do NOT use for password strength checking — use security_check_password. Do NOT use for data validation — use data_validate_json.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
text | string | yes | The text to hash |
algorithm | string | no | Hash algorithm: md5, sha1, sha256, sha512, bcrypt (default: sha256) |

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
