MCP support

Provides a stdio MCP server that exposes Canadian government and municipal data tools to MCP clients. It requires a `CLEVERTECH_API_KEY`.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

Environment variables to set
CLEVERTECH_API_KEYSecretOptional CleverTech API key for higher rate limits (ctk_...). Without a key the server runs anonymously at 50 queries/day.

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

Clevertech MCP Server

Canadian government and municipal open data for AI agents. Property assessments, building permits, zoning, business registry, DLS grid conversion, and more.

uvx clevertech-mcp-server

Requires a Clevertech API key (CLEVERTECH_API_KEY). Free tier: 50 API calls/day after sign-in at clevertech.ca/keys.

Quick Start

  1. Create an API key: https://clevertech.ca/keys
  2. Set CLEVERTECH_API_KEY in your MCP client config (examples below)
  3. Run uvx clevertech-mcp-server
