About capital-equipment

capital-equipment is a remote MCP server for discovering and booking scientific equipment across research facilities. Researchers can search equipment and facility information, while authenticated users can request bookings and services.

Key features

  1. 01Search equipment by keyword, category, or location
  2. 02View facility profiles and access policies
  3. 03Check equipment compatibility
  4. 04Find researchers and related papers
  5. 05Check availability and request bookings
  6. 06Review pricing and compliance information

Use cases

  1. 01Find instruments for a research workflow
  2. 02Compare facility access, pricing, and requirements
  3. 03Locate researchers by expertise or equipment experience
  4. 04Request equipment time or facility services

MCP support

This remote MCP server exposes discovery, account, and transactional tools. Read-only searches need no authentication; bookings and service requests require OAuth 2.1.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
