About Clervo Connect
Clervo Connect is a stdio MCP server that provides Clervo tools through a shared local wallet, limits, receipts, and operation state. Agents can load selected tool profiles, while payment is opt-in and bounded by per-operation and daily ceilings.
Key features
- 01Profile-based tool schema loading
- 02Search and AI tools
- 03Shared local usage and operation state
- 04Per-operation and daily spending ceilings
- 05Reconciliation and same-key replay
- 06Automatic payment opt-in
Use cases
- 01Loading only research or AI tools
- 02Checking local spending limits and usage
- 03Reconciling an unresolved operation
- 04Using bounded opt-in payments
MCP support
It is a stdio MCP server for Clervo Connect. MCP clients can select profiles and access tools and local status operations; automatic payment requires explicit opt-in.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

Details
From the project README@clervo/mcp
Stdio MCP server for Clervo Connect. A clean one-command install uses the public production origin and the same local wallet, limits, receipts and unresolved operation state as every other Connect surface:
{
"mcpServers": {
"clervo": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@clervo/mcp"] }
}
}
Claude Code:
claude mcp add clervo -s user -- npx -y @clervo/mcp
The default origin is https://api.clervo.dev. Set CLERVO_BASE_URL only for
another HTTPS deployment or loopback development.
Use --profile research|ai|prediction|crypto|sandbox|full to load only the
schemas relevant to an agent. Profiles are checked against the live registry on
every execution. RPC is not exposed while runtime truth reports it unavailable.
Alongside useful Search and AI tools, clervo_execute safely exposes operations
served in the selected profile. connect_status, spend_limits, local_usage,
reconcile, and doctor expose shared local state without wallet secrets.
Automatic payment is off by default. --auto-pay is an explicit local opt-in;
even then, every quote is bounded by the Router's per-operation and daily
ceilings before signing. Unknown settlement blocks MCP and every other Connect
surface. Reconciliation and same-key replay carry no fresh payment
authorization, and the server never blindly retries.
The package writes MCP protocol messages to stdout and operational failures to stderr only. This client code is MIT licensed; use of the hosted Clervo service remains subject to its service terms.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
