About Datamagnet

Datamagnet is a hosted service for AI agents that need current LinkedIn people, company, post, and job data. It combines URL-based lookups, ICP searches, engagement data, and ongoing job-change or topic monitors.

Key features

  1. 01LinkedIn profile, company, post, and job lookups
  2. 02Plain-language ICP searches for people and companies
  3. 03Post engagement and company funding data
  4. 04Job-change and engagement signal monitors
  5. 05Email or webhook notifications

Use cases

  1. 01Review a prospect’s profile and recent activity
  2. 02Find sales prospects matching an ICP
  3. 03Identify people engaging with a LinkedIn post
  4. 04Monitor customer champions for job changes

MCP support

Datamagnet provides a hosted MCP server over Streamable HTTP. MCP clients can use OAuth 2.1 or a Datamagnet API key to call its LinkedIn lookup, search, and signal-monitor tools.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Datamagnet MCP Server

Datamagnet MCP connector

Live LinkedIn people, company, post and job data, ICP search and job-change signals for AI agents, as a hosted MCP server.

https://mcp.datamagnet.co/mcp
  • Transport: Streamable HTTP
  • Auth: OAuth 2.1 (most clients sign in through the browser), or a Datamagnet API key as a bearer token
  • Official MCP Registry: co.datamagnet/datamagnet
  • Pricing: 10 free credits on signup, no credit card; tools cost the same credits as the Datamagnet API

This repository holds the server's public metadata and setup instructions. It contains no server source code: the server is hosted and maintained by Datamagnet, so there is nothing to install or run.

What it does

Paste a LinkedIn profile, company, post or job URL and your assistant gets structured data fetched at request time, not from a stale snapshot. It can search for people and accounts that match an ideal customer profile using plain-language filters, pull the people who commented on or reacted to a post, and look up a company's funding history.

It also manages standing signal monitors: watch a list of champions for job changes, or find people engaging with posts about a topic, and Datamagnet notifies you by email or webhook. Write tools are annotated so clients ask before they run; deleting a monitor is marked destructive.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
