About CoinLobster

CoinLobster is an MCP server for AI clients that need descriptive, live crypto-market data. It combines executed whale trades, DEX activity, Hyperliquid positions, liquidations, and market positioning, while exposing historical signal outcomes including misses.

Key features

  1. 01Track whale trades across exchanges and DEXs
  2. 02Inspect Hyperliquid accounts and proven traders
  3. 03Review liquidations, funding, and open interest
  4. 04Compare signals with subsequent price outcomes
  5. 05Arm webhook alerts through an AI client

Use cases

  1. 01Investigate why a coin is moving
  2. 02Check unusual whale activity and sector rotation
  3. 03Review wallet positions or liquidation levels
  4. 04Compare past signals with later price action

MCP support

CoinLobster exposes crypto data and alert tools, prompts, and resources to MCP clients through a hosted HTTP connector. A local stdio package relays requests to the hosted server.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json

Windsurf~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

ParameterTypeRequiredDescription
coinstringNoFilter to one coin, for example BTC. A pair like ETH/USD works too, the quote leg is dropped. One symbol, not a list. Omit for every coin.
pairstringNoAlias for coin.
sourceenumNoWhich markets to read: cex for the 15 streamed exchanges, dex for on-chain swaps on Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum, all for both merged. Defaults to all.cex | dex | all
min_usdnumberNoSmallest trade to return, in US dollars, for example 5000000 for $5M and up. Omit for everything already large enough to count as whale-sized. Keyless calls hold on-chain swaps to $250K and up regardless. A size filter runs after the fetch, so scan_capped in the payload states whether the search reached its own ceiling and older matches may exist.
limitintegerNoMax rows returned. Capped at 50 keyless and 500 on a developer plan; asking for more returns the cap, and the payload says so in `capped`.

CoinLobster MCP · live crypto market data for your AI

Ask your AI what is going on in crypto and get an answer built on what actually traded: whale trades across 18 exchanges plus Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum DEX swaps, Hyperliquid accounts named wallet by wallet, the proven-trader cohort, forced closes, funding and open interest against each coin's own history, and a signal record that shows the misses next to the hits.

Local stdio (this package)

For clients that only speak stdio. It relays to the hosted server, including its tools, prompts, resources and instructions, so it never needs an update for new tools.

Try asking

  • "What's going on in crypto right now?"
  • "Why is BTC moving? Was it forced selling or real buying?"
  • "What are the proven Hyperliquid traders holding?"
  • "Which coins have unusual whale activity today?"
  • "Where did BTC liquidations actually hit in the last few hours?"
  • "Has this kind of whale spike on SOL led anywhere before?"

What it answers

You ask aboutYou get
What is happening nowThe situations in play, in stages, with the evidence and the price move since each started
One coinPrice, news, whale flow vs that coin's normal, funding and open interest vs its own recorded days, forced closes
WhalesExecuted trades (not wallet transfers), hour-by-hour flow, which coins are unusual, sector rotation
Smart moneyThe proven Hyperliquid cohort: accounts screened for profit on closed trades, what they hold and just did
WalletsOne Hyperliquid account's positions and liquidation prices, or one Ethereum/Base/Arbitrum address's swaps
Forced closesWhere liquidations hit, long vs short, market-wide, plus DeFi lending liquidations kept separate
PositioningFunding across exchanges, open interest, the merged order book, options walls for BTC and ETH
The recordWhat price did after each past signal, with every miss shown
AlertsYour AI can arm an alert that posts to your webhook (Starter and up)

Privacy Policy

This package runs on your machine and relays your AI's requests to coinlobster.com. It stores nothing locally and sends only the tool name and arguments your AI chooses, plus your API key if you set one. CoinLobster logs requests to run and meter the service and never receives your chat. Full policy, including retention and contact: coinlobster.com/privacy.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
