About AgentBroker Index

AgentBroker Index is a sourced dataset for people assessing AI-agent access to brokers, banks, and crypto exchanges, including their authorization status in Spain and pilot coverage in Argentina and Mexico. Its records distinguish agent capabilities from platform offerings and link claims to sources.

Key features

  1. 01Provider records in JSON and CSV
  2. 02Agent capability and integration data
  3. 03Spain authorization checks
  4. 04Argentina and Mexico pilot data
  5. 05Per-asset agent access and sources

Use cases

  1. 01Compare agent access across financial providers
  2. 02Check provider authorization status in Spain
  3. 03Review documented asset access and restrictions

MCP support

A free, read-only MCP server at `https://mcp.agentbrokerindex.com/mcp` lets AI assistants query the dataset.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

AgentBroker Index: open dataset

Which brokers, banks and crypto exchanges let an AI agent (ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, MCP clients) read your account, draft orders or place orders, and whether each one is authorised to serve customers in Spain. Since 2026-10-20 it also covers an Argentina + Mexico pilot: availability there and each provider's local registration (CNV in Argentina, CNBV in Mexico). Each record links to its sources.

Method

  • Sources: every fact comes from the provider's own docs, press release or terms, or from an official register. Third-party sources are named in notes.
  • Licence status: checked by hand against the CNMV, Banco de España and ESMA registers. The date is in licence.authorisation_checked.
  • Argentina / Mexico: local registration as each provider publishes it, plus the CNV or CNBV register where one exists (licence.latam.*.checked). A CNV PSAV (virtual-asset) registration is anti-money-laundering only and is not a licence; Mexican crypto platforms are marked crypto_not_cnbv, never "authorised". Guides: https://agentbrokerindex.com/es/latinoamerica/argentina/ and https://agentbrokerindex.com/es/latinoamerica/mexico/.
  • Updates: records are re-checked weekly. date_modified changes only when the content changes, which a content fingerprint detects.
  • Asset types (since 2026-10-20): a cell is trade or read only when the provider's official documentation shows the agent doing it, and no only when the provider says so or the asset is missing from its complete published tool catalogue. Everything else stays unknown; we never infer from the provider's general product range. platform is recorded separately, because many brokers sell products their agent connection can't reach. Explained at https://agentbrokerindex.com/about/#assets.
  • CFD providers are flagged (licence.cfd, licence.cfd_only). CFDs are high risk; most retail accounts lose money with them.

Not financial advice. This is information only. No provider pays to be listed, and there are no affiliate links. Corrections: open an issue, citing a source.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
