Details
From the project READMEHat Trick Local Directory
US youth sports clubs and local sports stores, with their registration windows, fees and tryouts, from Hat Trick Local's
public MCP server at https://hattricklocal.com/mcp (read-only, no account needed). Ohio and Pennsylvania first; the
listings today are soccer clubs and soccer stores.
Tools
search_clubs: clubs by name, town, state or distance from a ZIP code, with whether registration is open or upcoming. A vague or misspelled name returns candidates.get_club: one club with its contacts, programs, locations, and current registration windows, fees and tryouts, each with its source link and how it was verified.list_registration_windows: registration windows by state, town and dates: open now or opening later.search_stores: sports stores (soccer stores today) by name, chain, town or distance, with address, phone and brands.get_store: one store with its address, phone, hours where listed and brands.create_claim_link: a link to hand a person who runs a club or store, to claim its free listing.create_correction_link: a link to hand a person who found something wrong, with the correction form open.create_shop_link: where a club or store sells online through Hat Trick Local, when it does.
Example prompts: "Which youth soccer clubs near Pittsburgh have registration open?", "When does registration close for Shaler Soccer Club?", "Is there a sports store near Dayton, Ohio?"
How the links work
The link tools only build links. Opening one changes nothing: the person fills in and confirms on the page, and Hat Trick Local reviews claims and corrections. An assistant never submits, pays, registers or claims for a person.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
