About Talaria

Talaria is a hosted MCP service and agent plugin for coding agents investigating production errors, traces, and replays. Its skills guide work from setup and observation through issue triage and post-release fix verification.

Key features

  1. 01Production error and issue investigation
  2. 02Trace, span, session, and replay inspection
  3. 03Project health and performance observation
  4. 04Issue triage skills
  5. 05Post-release fix verification
  6. 06OAuth and personal-token authentication

Use cases

  1. 01Find and investigate open production errors
  2. 02Inspect traces and replays while triaging an issue
  3. 03Verify a fix after a release
  4. 04Review project health and performance

MCP support

Talaria exposes hosted MCP tools at `https://api.newtalaria.com/mcp`, using Streamable HTTP and OAuth 2.1 with PKCE or a personal Bearer token. Tool groups cover issues, events, performance, analytics, flags, and operations, with read-only and toolset-limited URL options.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Copy install command
Claude CodeTerminal
Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json
Claude Desktopclaude_desktop_config.json
Windsurf~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

From the project README

Talaria agent plugin

Hosted Talaria MCP plus skills for coding agents (Copilot, VS Code, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, Cursor, Grok) to investigate production errors, traces, and replays — then triage issues and verify fixes after a release.

MCP: https://api.newtalaria.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 with PKCE)

No secrets live in this plugin. Agents sign in with OAuth (or a personal Bearer token from Settings → Integrations). Never use an ingest key (tal_live_…) — /mcp rejects them.

Install

Grok Bot (Connect apps)
  1. Open Connect apps in Grok Bot.
  2. Search Talaria (handle talaria) once the marketplace listing is approved — or add a custom MCP server named Talaria at https://api.newtalaria.com/mcp.
  3. Confirm → authorise in the browser → choose your organisation.
  4. Ask something like: "What are the top open errors in production?"

Setup guide: newtalaria.com/mcp

Cursor

Install from cursor.directory/plugins/talaria, or add the MCP server manually by following the Cursor setup guide.

Skills under skills/ teach get-started → triage → verify-fix.

VS Code / GitHub Copilot

Option 1: Install via link (opens VS Code)

Install in VS Code

For VS Code Insiders, use this link.

Option 2: Command line

code --add-mcp '{"name":"talaria","type":"http","url":"https://api.newtalaria.com/mcp"}'

Option 3: MCP Gallery (when listed)

Search for @mcp talaria in the Extensions view, or run MCP: Add Server → Browse MCP Servers…

GitHub Copilot CLI

Once listed in awesome-copilot:

copilot plugin install talaria@awesome-copilot

Or install directly from this repo:

copilot plugin install newtalaria/talaria-agent-plugin
Claude Code

Step 1: Add the self-hosted marketplace

claude plugin marketplace add newtalaria/talaria-agent-plugin

Step 2: Install the plugin

claude plugin install talaria@newtalaria

Anthropic directory listing pending.

Gemini CLI
gemini extensions install https://github.com/newtalaria/talaria-agent-plugin

The extension will appear in the gallery at geminicli.com/extensions once the repo has the gemini-cli-extension topic.

Grok Build

Once listed in xai-org/plugin-marketplace, install by plugin name talaria (SHA-pinned remote source). Until then, point Grok Build at this repository's tip.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
