RyeCentral Consensus MCP Server

The official MCP server for the RyeCentral Consensus Score™: one independent, confidence-rated score out of 5 for every rye whiskey reviewed on RyeCentral. Each score is compiled from published ratings across a tracked pool of 40+ independent sources, re-verified on a rolling 60-day cycle, and returned with a ready-made citation.

This repository holds the server's public listing and documentation. The server is hosted and maintained by RyeCentral Brands, LLC.

How the score works

  • Sources: independent, publicly published ratings and reviews (scored ratings, expert tasting notes, retailer and community reviews), filtered for fakes, promotion and paid tastings. One site counts once. See Which sources count.
  • Score: weighted for sample size and source quality. A score moves only when a new reading differs by 0.1 or more.
  • Confidence: a composite out of 100 built from six factors: distinct sources, source strength, rating volume, agreement, stability between readings, and how well-sourced the flavor profile is. It is a rating of evidence, not a statistical confidence interval.
BandCompositeMeaning
Strong80–100Many independent sources that closely agree, stable between readings.
Solid60–79Well supported, with fewer sources or looser agreement than Strong.
Earlyunder 60A first reading from fewer sources. It can fall but not rise while it stays Early.

Full method: RyeCentral review methodology. Every bottle, ranked: the RyeCentral Consensus Index.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
