About SongUp AI

SongUp AI is a hosted MCP server for finding AI-generated songs, preparing custom-song ideas, and locating browser audio tools. It serves music discovery and audio workflows through three read-only tools.

Key features

  1. 01Search songs in 24 languages
  2. 02Filter by genre, mood, or occasion
  3. 03Prepare a custom-song link
  4. 04Find browser audio tools

Use cases

  1. 01Find songs matching a language and mood
  2. 02Open the song maker with a supplied idea
  3. 03Locate tools for vocal removal or mastering

MCP support

Exposes three read-only tools to MCP clients over hosted Streamable HTTP: song search, custom-song link preparation, and audio-tool discovery. No installation, sign-in, or API key is required.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

SongUp AI MCP Server

Official Model Context Protocol server for SongUp AI, the AI song maker. Connect it to Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code, Windsurf, Zapier, Make, n8n or any other MCP client to:

  • Find AI songs from the SongUp AI library in 24 languages, by genre, mood or occasion, each with a direct link to its audio.
  • Start a custom song: turn a song idea (occasion, names, story, mood) into a link that opens the SongUp AI song maker with the idea filled in.
  • Find an audio tool for a task such as stem separation, vocal removal, mashups, noise removal, mastering, chords or audio-to-MIDI.

It is a hosted server: there is nothing to install, no sign-in and no API key.

Claude and ChatGPT

Use the in-chat versions, which play songs right in the conversation:

  • Claude: add https://www.songupai.com/mcp/claude as a custom connector (guide).
  • ChatGPT: the SongUp AI app (guide).
Zapier, Make and n8n
  • Zapier: add an MCP Client step, connect with the server URL, transport Streamable HTTP, no authentication.
  • Make: add the MCP Client module, create a connection with the server URL and no authentication.
  • n8n: give an AI Agent node the MCP Client Tool, set the endpoint to the server URL, transport HTTP Streamable, authentication None.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
