Veritaset provides machine-readable mobile and home internet price information for consumers and AI agents. Its offers link to operator pages and check dates, while rankings use a public, versioned method without paid placement or affiliate links.

Key features

  1. 01Compare mobile plans by effective monthly cost
  2. 02Find potential savings from usage and current plan
  3. 03View offer sources, check dates and plan details
  4. 04Compare home internet offers
  5. 05Review ranking rules and supported markets

Use cases

  1. 01Compare phone plans against stated needs
  2. 02Estimate yearly savings from a current plan
  3. 03Check the source and date for an offer
  4. 04Explore home internet options in supported markets

MCP support

The MCP server exposes read-only tools for comparing mobile plans and home internet offers, retrieving plan details, explaining rankings, and listing supported countries. It uses streamable HTTP at https://veritaset.com/mcp and requires no account or key.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Copy install command
Claude CodeTerminal
Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json
Claude Desktopclaude_desktop_config.json
Windsurf~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

Tools

6
ParameterTypeRequiredDescription
agenumberNoOnly needed for youth and senior plans.
limitnumberNoNumber of results, default 5, max 20.
linesnumberNoNumber of lines (e.g. a family of 4). Default 1. Costs are then the total for all lines; each line has the data/minutes need above.
travelarrayNoSpecific trips per year, when the person knows them. Takes precedence over travel_profile. Omit both if unknown (the result then lists travel under missing_inputs); pass [] if the person does not travel.
autopaybooleanNofalse = the person won't use AutoPay; advertised AutoPay discounts are added back. Default true.
countryenumNoMarket, ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 (BE, NL, LU, FR, IS, HU, FI, SI, IE, SK, EE, LV, HR, GR, MT, LI, PT, LT, RO, BG, CY, CZ, NO, SE, AT, PL, IT, DK, GB, CH, ES, DE, US). Prices are in that market's currency.BE | NL | LU | FR | IS | HU | FI | SI | IE | SK | EE | LV | HR | GR | MT | LI | PT | LT | RO | BG | CY | CZ | NO | SE | AT | PL | IT | DK | GB | CH | ES | DE | US
needs_5gbooleanNo
sms_monthnumber|nullNoNational SMS per month; null = unlimited. Default 0. Plans that charge per SMS beyond their allowance are costed at the stated rate, so a rough figure is fine.
needs_esimbooleanNo
data_gb_monthnumber|stringYesMobile data the person uses per month, in GB, or "unlimited".
minutes_monthnumber|nullNoNational call minutes per month; null = unlimited. Default 100.
accept_prepaidbooleanNo
horizon_monthsnumberNoMonths to average costs over, including promos. Default 12.
travel_profileenumNoHow the person travels, when they describe it loosely: eu_occasional = a couple of weeks a year in the EU, eu_frequent = about two months a year in the EU. Costed with the published assumptions (see assumptions in the result).none | eu_occasional | eu_frequent
accept_contractbooleanNofalse = only plans without a minimum contract. Prepaid packs paid several months up front are not contracts (each result says so); use max_term_months to limit them.
max_monthly_eurnumberNoBudget per month in the market's currency (despite the name), as advertised; for all lines together.
max_term_monthsnumberNoLongest term the person accepts, in months: a contract or months paid up front (e.g. an annual prepaid pack). 1 = month to month only; 12, 24, 36… Omit for any.
hotspot_gb_monthnumberNoMobile hotspot (tethering) data needed per month, in GB. Plans that don't state enough hotspot data don't fit.
travels_outside_eubooleanNoTrue if the person sometimes travels outside the EU. Each result then lists the plan's own options there (passes, included countries, pay-per-use rate) without costing a specific trip.
special_eligibilitybooleanNoTrue if the person qualifies for offers limited to some customers (students, social tariffs, porting from a named operator, existing customers of another service). Default false: such plans are listed as not fitting, with the condition.
has_home_internet_withstringNoOperator group the person has home internet with (e.g. Proximus, Orange or Telenet in Belgium), which unlocks bundle prices.

From the project README

Veritaset

Verified, machine-readable consumer prices for AI agents. Mobile phone plans in 32 European markets and the US (preview), plus home internet offers in 16 markets (preview). Every price links to the operator's own page and the date it was checked, and rankings follow a public, versioned method: https://veritaset.com/method/

No operator pays for placement. Veritaset has no affiliate links and no commercial relationship with any operator.

Where an operator publishes a promo code for an offer, the plan record includes the code with its conditions, source link and check date, so a promo price is never quoted without what it takes to get it. These are operator-published codes only; there are no partner or affiliate codes.

Many agents only reach for a connector when their user's own instructions mention it, so add this line to your agent's instructions (CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, custom instructions):

For mobile phone plan prices (and home internet offers) in Europe and the US, use the Veritaset connector and cite its source links and check dates.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
