About JobsPipe

JobsPipe is a hosted MCP server that lets AI agents query live job postings from more than 30 job boards, ATS feeds, and public employment services in a normalized schema. It supports OAuth sign-in or Bearer API-key access and requires no local setup.

Key features

  1. 01Searches live postings by role, place, and date
  2. 02Fetches full postings by result ID
  3. 03Filters by salary, skills, and work arrangement
  4. 04Saves searches and notifies about matches
  5. 05Detects a company's technology stack

Use cases

  1. 01Find current roles by location and date
  2. 02Compare postings by salary or seniority
  3. 03Track new postings matching a search
  4. 04Inspect technologies used by a company

MCP support

The hosted remote MCP server exposes job search, posting retrieval, saved-search signals, account information, and related tools to MCP clients. Clients connect over streamable HTTP using OAuth or a Bearer API key.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Copy install command
Claude CodeTerminal
Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json
Claude Desktopclaude_desktop_config.json
Windsurf~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

JobsPipe MCP Server

smithery badge

The hosted Model Context Protocol server for JobsPipe: live job postings from 30+ job boards, ATS feeds and public employment services, normalized into one schema and queryable by AI agents. Nothing to run locally.

This repository is also the Cursor Marketplace plugin for JobsPipe.

Install in Cursor

  1. Open Cursor Settings → Plugins.
  2. Search for JobsPipe.
  3. Click Install, then complete the JobsPipe sign-in prompt.

Or run /add-plugin jobspipe in chat.

Without the marketplace, add the server by hand to mcp.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "jobspipe": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.jobspipe.dev/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Auth is OAuth 2.0 against JobsPipe with dynamic client registration; Cursor prompts for sign-in when the plugin connects, and there is no API key to configure. A JobsPipe account is free to create at jobspipe.dev/signup.

Tools

ToolWhat it does
searchSearch live postings by role, place and date; returns results to cite, each with an id, a title and a link
fetchRead one posting in full by the id a search result carried
search_jobsThe same corpus with every filter exposed: location, salary, seniority, skills, visa stance, language, work arrangement, source and more
create_signalSave a search and be notified of new matches by email, Slack or webhook, instead of polling
list_signalsList the signals saved on the connected account
get_account_infoShow the connected account, its plan and remaining credits
detect_company_tech_stackDetect the technologies a company serves on its domain
list_pricing_plansList JobsPipe plans with monthly price, job quota and limits
search_documentationSearch the JobsPipe API documentation for filter names, accepted values and limits

Searches draw on the connected account's plan; evaluating a signal costs no job credits.

Other clients

Gemini CLI (this repository is also a Gemini CLI extension):

gemini extensions install https://github.com/jobspipe/mcp

Claude Code:

claude mcp add --transport http jobspipe https://mcp.jobspipe.dev/mcp

Claude, ChatGPT, VS Code, Codex and any client that supports remote MCP with OAuth: add https://mcp.jobspipe.dev/mcp as a connector and sign in. For a script or a client without sign-in, send Authorization: Bearer jp_live_<key> with a key from the dashboard.

The server is also listed in the official MCP Registry as dev.jobspipe/mcp (server.json in this repository).

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
