Environment variables to set
LEANROUTE_ADMIN_KEYSecretAdmin API key (gw_admin_*). Mint at https://leanroute.dev/dashboard/admin-keys. Required for platform tools (pricing, usage, credit, key management).
LEANROUTE_RUNTIME_KEYSecretRuntime API key (gw_live_*). Mint at https://leanroute.dev/dashboard/keys. Optional — only required for the route_call tool that dispatches actual LLM completions.
LEANROUTE_BASE_URLBase URL override for self-hosted Leanroute instances.

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.
