About rostro
rostro is an MCP server that gives language models tools for generating images, music, videos and other media. It is intended for clients that want to add multimodal generation through an authenticated Rostro account.
Key features
- 01Image generation
- 02Music generation
- 03Video generation
- 04Other media generation tools
- 05OAuth or API key authentication
Use cases
- 01Generate images from a language-model workflow
- 02Create music through an MCP client
- 03Add video generation to a model workflow
MCP support
rostro exposes media-generation tools at https://proto.rostro.dev/mcp. Clients authenticate using OAuth discovery or an API key.
Configuration

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
