About email mcp
email mcp is a locally run service for sending email through an MCP interface. It is intended for AI assistants and clients that support MCP; the README notes testing with a Spring-AI Java service.
Key features
- 01Send email through an MCP interface
- 02Configure SMTP connection details
- 03Specify recipients, subject, and message body
Use cases
- 01Send an email from an AI assistant
- 02Submit SMTP details and email content for delivery
MCP support
Exposes email sending through a standardized MCP interface, allowing compatible AI assistants and clients to send messages. The README describes local execution and testing with Spring-AI.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
