About Exchange Rate API
Exchange Rate API is an MCP server for AI coding tools that need currency data. It provides current mid-market rates and historical series for more than 160 currencies; the package is no longer updated.

MCP support
Exposes exchange-rate tools to MCP clients, including current and historical rate lookups and a currency list. It requires an Exchange Rate API key.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

Exchange Rate API is now AllRatesToday. This package keeps working against
exchange-rateapi.com, but it is no longer updated. For new projects use@allratestoday/mcp-server(or the hosted endpointhttps://allratestoday.com/api/mcp) — the same real-time API plus official rates from 121 central banks. Docs: allratestoday.com/docs.
