About Unseen Workflow Compiler
Unseen Workflow Compiler is the official MCP server for Unseen, turning SOPs, incident playbooks, spreadsheets, and business communications into source-grounded visual workflows. Teams can compile, revise, and retrieve workflow diagrams in MCP clients, with structured graphs, SVG, and Mermaid output.
Key features
- 01Compile documents into structured workflow graphs
- 02Generate SVG and Mermaid output
- 03Revise existing workflows from instructions
- 04Retrieve visual artifacts by ID
- 05Preserve citation integrity during revisions
Use cases
- 01Convert SOPs into visual operating workflows
- 02Compile incident playbooks into workflow graphs
- 03Revise nodes and steps in existing diagrams
- 04Retrieve the structure of generated workflows
MCP support
This is Unseen’s official MCP server, exposing compile_workflow, revise_workflow, and get_workflow tools to MCP clients for creating, revising, and retrieving workflows.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Details
From the project READMEUnseen MCP Server (unseen-mcp)
The official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Unseen (unseendocs.in).
Turn messy operational documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), incident playbooks, spreadsheets, and business communications into faithful, source-grounded visual workflows directly inside Claude Desktop, Cursor, Zed, Windsurf, or any MCP-compatible agent.
Capabilities
The unseen-mcp server provides 3 primary tools:
compile_workflow: Compiles raw text, SOPs, or multi-page documents into a structured, verifiableVisualSpecworkflow graph, accompanied by production-ready SVG and Mermaid syntax.- Arguments:
content(string, required),title(string, optional).
- Arguments:
revise_workflow: Applies focused revisions or node additions/modifications to an existing workflow graph while preserving citation integrity.- Arguments:
visualSpec(object, required),instructions(string, required).
- Arguments:
get_workflow: Retrieves the full structured representation of an existing visual artifact by its ID.- Arguments:
id(string, required).
- Arguments:
1-Click Installation (Smithery)
If you use Smithery.ai:
npx -y @smithery/cli install unseen-mcp --client claude
Or for Cursor:
npx -y @smithery/cli install unseen-mcp --client cursor

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
