About Sanctions Screening (OFAC, EU, UK, UN)

An Apify Actor and local stdio MCP server that fuzzy-matches people and company names against official OFAC, EU, UK, and UN sanctions lists. It returns match scores and listing details for onboarding and bulk screening, but results require human review and are not certified screening.

Key features

  1. 01Screens five official sanctions lists
  2. 02Fuzzy-matches names and aliases
  3. 03Uses country and birth date to refine matches
  4. 04Returns scores and listing details
  5. 05Reports list versions and availability

Use cases

  1. 01Pre-screening customers or suppliers
  2. 02Bulk re-screening counterparties
  3. 03Checking a name against sanctions lists
  4. 04Adding screening to payment or procurement workflows

MCP support

The stdio MCP server provides `screen_names`, `list_sources`, and `list_cache_status`. Screening runs the Apify Actor and requires `APIFY_TOKEN`; source information is local, while cache status reads the user's Apify storage.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
