About fixgraph-mcp

fixgraph-mcp is an MCP server for developers and AI agents to search community-verified fixes in FixGraph. It also supports submitting fixes and issues, and recording whether a fix worked in a given environment.

Key features

  1. 01Search by error, symptom, or technology
  2. 02Retrieve verified fixes for an issue
  3. 03Submit fixes and new issues
  4. 04Record whether a fix worked

Use cases

  1. 01Troubleshoot software errors or dependency conflicts
  2. 02Find community-verified solutions to technical issues
  3. 03Report fix results from an environment

MCP support

The MCP server exposes tools to compatible AI assistants for searching and retrieving fixes, submitting issues or fixes, and recording verification results. Search needs no API key; submission and verification require one.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"fixgraph": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"fixgraph-mcp"
]
}
}
}
Run commandnpx -y fixgraph-mcp

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
