GAIP Agents
VerifiedFeaturedRemoteAbout GAIP Agents
GAIP Agents is a read-only service that records dated public information about AI agents, MCP servers, and online shops, then returns signed receipts. It is for teams checking conformance or tracking changes without treating observations as ratings.
Key features
- 01Dated records of public declarations
- 02Checks agent cards and MCP servers
- 03Tracks changes to tools and schemas
- 04Signed receipts with continuity handles
- 05GitHub Actions for checks and watching
Use cases
- 01Check an agent card or MCP server in CI
- 02Watch dependencies for declaration changes
- 03Review signed evidence of an observation
MCP support
Provides tools through a remote MCP server at https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp, including gaip_check. MCP clients can query public records and receive signed receipts.
Configuration
Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.
https://www.gaipagents.com/mcpclaude mcp add --transport http gaip-agents https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp{"mcpServers":{"gaip-agents":{"type":"http","url":"https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp"}}}Open in Cursor{"servers":{"gaip-agents":{"type":"http","url":"https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp"}}}Open in VS Code{"mcpServers":{"gaip-agents":{"type":"http","url":"https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp"}}}{"mcpServers":{"gaip-agents":{"serverUrl":"https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp"}}}Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.
Tools
5| Parameter | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| url | string | Yes | Public https link to the agent, its A2A agent card, MCP server endpoint or OpenAPI document. GAIP fetches, validates and reach-tests it; an MCP endpoint gets a read-only handshake (initialize, tools/list). |
| agent | string | No | Optional: ask "may my agent fetch this url?" instead. Your agent's user-agent token, e.g. GPTBot; GAIP reads the site's robots.txt and AI-permission files (gaip_check_permission). |
| verbose | boolean | No | Optional: true returns the full result with every underlying field. Default: a short answer. |
| intended_task | string | No | Optional: what you plan to hand it, e.g. 'weather forecast for London'. Adds task-specific evidence. |
| continuity_handle | object | No | Optional: the continuity_handle from an earlier GAIP result; links this call to your earlier ones (needed to see or remove your watches later). |
| continuity_handle.token | string | Yes | |
| continuity_handle.continuity_id | string | Yes |
Details
From the project READMEGAIP
GAIP, the Governed Agentic Intelligence Platform, keeps an independent, dated record of what AI agents, MCP servers and online shops publish, and answers questions about that record with signed receipts. Free, read-only, no key; facts at a stated time, never an assessment.
First call: gaip_check with a url on https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp. This one runs as-is; then use the URL
of the agent, MCP server or API you care about:
curl -s https://www.gaipagents.com/mcp \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' -H 'Accept: application/json, text/event-stream' \
-d '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","id":1,"method":"tools/call","params":{"name":"gaip_check","arguments":{"url":"https://mcp.deepwiki.com/mcp"}}}'
Without MCP: GET https://www.gaipagents.com/v1/free/conformance/check?url=<url>.
The map: every question GAIP answers, grouped by who asks, with its tool and HTTP route: https://www.gaipagents.com/v1/free/map. Every completed answer carries a continuity handle; send it back and the answer is bound to your own history with GAIP.

In CI: two GitHub Actions
GAIP Watch fails your build when an MCP server or agent your agent depends on changed its tools, schemas, sign-in or prices, with dated receipts (watch/):
- uses: tjcgraham-rgb/gaip-agents/watch@main
with:
urls: https://mcp.example.com/mcp
GAIP Agents check runs gaip_check on your own agent card, MCP server or OpenAPI document on every push:
- uses: tjcgraham-rgb/gaip-agents@v1
with:
agent-url: https://your-agent.example/.well-known/agent-card.json
fail-on-error: "true"
Outputs: verdict (READY, FIXES_NEEDED, UNREACHABLE or NOT_CHECKED), receipt-id, error-count, warning-count.
Providers can show their own dated record with the badge

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
