About Mycelium Emissions Database

Mycelium Emissions Database is a hosted MCP server for AI assistants that need company carbon-emissions data. It supports company search, Mycelium Scores, and annual Scope 1, 2, and 3 figures, distinguishing reported values from estimates.

Key features

  1. 01Search companies by name and country
  2. 02View Mycelium Scores and industry ranks
  3. 03Retrieve annual emissions summaries
  4. 04Get Scope 1, 2, and 3 figures
  5. 05Distinguish reported data from estimates

Use cases

  1. 01Find a company’s emissions profile
  2. 02Compare company scores and industry ranks
  3. 03Inspect scope-specific figures for a reporting year

MCP support

The hosted server exposes company search, profile, and emissions tools through a streamable HTTP MCP endpoint. Access is anonymous and subject to per-IP rate limits.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Mycelium Emissions Database MCP Server

A hosted Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants direct access to the Mycelium open corporate carbon emissions database: company search, Mycelium Scores, and full per-scope greenhouse gas figures.

Setup

Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste https://mycelium.global/mcp/server.

Claude Code

Tools

search-entities

Search the emissions database for companies by name. Returns matching companies with their Mycelium Score and the slug handle used by the other tools.

InputTypeDescription
querystring (required)Company name or name fragment
countrystringOptional ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 filter, e.g. GBR, DEU
limitintegerMax matches to return, 1-25, default 10
get-entity-profile

A company's public Mycelium profile: identity and registration, Mycelium Score (0 to 10) with industry rank, Transparency Score, and a per-year summary of total emissions in tonnes CO2e split into reported and estimated.

InputTypeDescription
entitystring (required)Slug from search-entities, or Mycelium public id GUID
get-emission-figures

Full greenhouse gas figures for one reporting year in the OpenCCF data model: per-scope lines (Scope 1, 2 and 3 with categories) in kgCO2e, each tagged as reported by the company or estimated by Mycelium.

InputTypeDescription
entitystring (required)Slug from search-entities, or Mycelium public id GUID
yearintegerReporting year, e.g. 2023. Defaults to the latest on file

Provenance

Every emissions line is tagged as reported by the company or estimated by Mycelium. Clients should preserve that distinction and never present an estimate as a company's own disclosure.

About the data

Mycelium is an open corporate carbon disclosure platform covering hundreds of thousands of entities, built from company reporting, registry data (GLEIF, Companies House and others) and modelled estimates. The same data is available over REST: see the Mycelium Network API.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
