About Sparks

Sparks is an idea notebook connected to MCP clients, for people who want an agent to find, capture, and organize notes, projects, and subtasks. It provides a remote server with OAuth sign-in and intentionally has no delete tool.

Key features

  1. 01Search and filter notes
  2. 02View projects and note details
  3. 03Create and update notes
  4. 04Add subtasks and mark them done
  5. 05File notes under projects
  6. 06Configure the Send-to-agent webhook

Use cases

  1. 01Have an agent find relevant notes
  2. 02Capture an idea in the inbox or a project
  3. 03Break a note into nested subtasks
  4. 04Check or set the agent webhook status

MCP support

The remote MCP server exposes notebook tools over Streamable HTTP and uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, with dynamic client registration.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json

Sparks MCP

Connect any MCP client (Cursor, Claude, Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Grok Bot, ...) to your Sparks idea notebook. Your agent can find, capture and organize notes, projects and subtasks. There is deliberately no delete tool.

  • Server: https://sparks.6x7.gr/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP, remote, nothing to install)
  • Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. Add the URL, approve once in Sparks. Agents without OAuth use the one-tap connect link in skills/connect-to-sparks.

Install

Cursor: install the sparks plugin from the Marketplace, or add to mcp.json:

{ "mcpServers": { "sparks": { "url": "https://sparks.6x7.gr/api/mcp" } } }

Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http sparks https://sparks.6x7.gr/api/mcp, then /mcp → Authenticate.

Codex: add [mcp_servers.sparks] with url = "https://sparks.6x7.gr/api/mcp", then codex mcp login sparks.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
