About HWP to Markdown

HWP to Markdown is an MCP server for converting Korean HWP and HWPX documents into Markdown and extracting table data. It is intended for agents and workflows that need to read Korean office documents without installing 한글 or sending files to an external service.

MCP support

Exposes read-only document conversion, table extraction, and metadata tools to MCP clients.

MCP server that turns HWP / HWPX (한글) documents into Markdown so AI agents can finally read Korean government notices, contracts, bid documents and office memos. Pure TypeScript, no 한글 installation, no external service — the file never leaves your machine.

No keys, no setup. Also works as a CLI: npx @appmonster/mcp-hwp 공문.hwp > 공문.md.
