About compliance-checker

compliance-checker is an MCP server for teams assessing websites and privacy policies against KVKK, GDPR, and CCPA. It combines GuardBee API scans with policy analysis, a legal requirements catalog, and framework comparisons; three tools work without an API key.

Key features

  1. 01Runs KVKK, GDPR, and CCPA scans
  2. 02Retrieves compliance findings by framework and severity
  3. 03Scores privacy policies using 10 signals
  4. 04Detects cookie banner platforms
  5. 05Lists requirements and compares frameworks

Use cases

  1. 01Check a website for KVKK, GDPR, or CCPA issues
  2. 02Review a privacy policy for missing clauses
  3. 03Look up legal requirements for a framework
  4. 04Compare requirements across privacy laws

MCP support

Exposes tools for compliance scans, findings, policy analysis, requirement lookup, and framework comparison. The scan and findings tools require a GuardBee API key; the other three work without one.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"guardbee-compliance-checker": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"@guardbee/mcp-compliance-checker"
]
}
}
}
Run commandnpx -y @guardbee/mcp-compliance-checker

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

An MCP server that runs KVKK (Turkish data protection law), GDPR, and CCPA compliance checks via the GuardBee API, analyzes privacy policies, and compares legal requirements. Three of its tools work without an API key.

Telemetry is off by default. With GUARDBEE_TELEMETRY=1 it sends the server, tool, success, duration and short parameter values such as a file path; longer strings and fields like content, token or password are replaced with a placeholder. See @guardbee/mcp-telemetry.

A GuardBee API key is required for the check_compliance and get_compliance_findings tools. Get one at app.guardbee.ai/developers.

Features

  • KVKK / GDPR / CCPA Scanning — triggers a compliance-focused scan via the GuardBee API and fetches findings
  • Privacy Policy Analysis — fetches policy text from a URL; 10 compliance signals, a score (0-100), and a letter grade
  • Cookie Banner Detection — detects OneTrust, Cookiebot, Axeptio, and 10+ CMP platforms
  • Requirements Catalog — 21 requirements with legal-article references across KVKK (9), GDPR (8), CCPA (4)
  • Framework Comparison — common and differing articles across KVKK / GDPR / CCPA
  • Key-Free Tools — analyze_privacy_policy, list_requirements, compare_frameworks work offline

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
