MCP support

The MCP server exposes tools for text detection, rewriting, post-rewrite detection, and checking account credits to compatible clients.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config

From the project README

humantext.pro MCP Server

AI text detection and humanization tools for Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, and any MCP-compatible client.

Check if text sounds AI-generated and transform it to read naturally — without leaving your editor.

Quick Start

1. Get your API key

Sign up at humantext.pro and generate an API key on your API page.

2. Add to your MCP client

Claude Code / VS Code:

Add to .claude/mcp.json in your project (or global settings):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "humantext": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@humantext/mcp-server"],
      "env": {
        "HUMANTEXT_API_KEY": "your_api_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}

Cursor:

Add to .cursor/mcp.json in your project:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "humantext": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@humantext/mcp-server"],
      "env": {
        "HUMANTEXT_API_KEY": "your_api_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}

Claude Desktop:

Add to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json (macOS) or %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json (Windows):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "humantext": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@humantext/mcp-server"],
      "env": {
        "HUMANTEXT_API_KEY": "your_api_key_here"
      }
    }
  }
}
3. Use it

Ask your AI assistant:

  • "Check if this text sounds AI-generated"
  • "Humanize this paragraph to sound more natural"
  • "Humanize this text and verify the result passes AI detection"
  • "What's my humantext.pro credit balance?"

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
