About ictdialer-mcp
ictdialer-mcp is an MCP server for monitoring outbound campaigns on ICTDialer, a cloud auto-dialer and predictive-dialer platform. It provides campaign and per-call details, with start and stop operations disabled unless explicitly enabled.
Key features
- 01List outbound campaigns
- 02Check live campaign status
- 03View campaign totals and call results
- 04Enable start and stop operations explicitly
Use cases
- 01Review campaign progress and outcomes
- 02Inspect results for individual calls
- 03Start or stop campaigns after enabling writes
MCP support
Exposes campaign listing, status, summary, and per-call result tools to MCP clients. Start and stop tools are registered only when ICTDIALER_MCP_ALLOW_WRITE=true.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
npx -y ictdialer-mcpICTDIALER_BASE_URLBase URL of your ICTDialer server, without the /rest suffix, e.g. https://your-ictdialer.ICTDIALER_USERNAMEAPI account username.ICTDIALER_PASSWORDSecretPassword for the account.ICTDIALER_MCP_ALLOW_WRITEUnlocks starting and stopping campaigns, which begins live outbound calling and can cost money. When false those tools are not registered at all. Leave off unless you mean it.ICTDIALER_TIMEOUT_MSPer request timeout in milliseconds. Defaults to 30000.ICTDIALER_TLS_INSECURESkip TLS certificate verification. Only for a self-signed test server.Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

Details
From the project READMEictdialer-mcp
A Model Context Protocol server for ICTDialer — the cloud auto-dialer and predictive-dialer platform from ICT Innovations. ICTDialer.com is the hosted edition of ICTContact and runs the same engine, so this server speaks that API.
It lets an AI assistant monitor outbound campaigns — list them, check status, read summaries and per-call results — and, only when you turn writes on, start and stop them.
Install
npx -y ictdialer-mcp # no install
npm install -g ictdialer-mcp
Requires Node.js 18 or newer.
Configure
| Variable | Required | Default | |
|---|---|---|---|
ICTDIALER_BASE_URL | yes | Server base URL, without the /rest suffix, e.g. https://your-ictdialer | |
ICTDIALER_USERNAME | yes | API account username | |
ICTDIALER_PASSWORD | yes | Password for that account | |
ICTDIALER_MCP_ALLOW_WRITE | no | false | Unlock start/stop campaign (see Safety) |
ICTDIALER_TIMEOUT_MS | no | 30000 | Per-request timeout |
ICTDIALER_TLS_INSECURE | no | false | Skip TLS verification — self-signed test servers only |

Tools
Read tools are always available:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
ictdialer_list_campaigns | List campaigns (id and name) |
ictdialer_campaign_status | Live status of a campaign (running, stopped) |
ictdialer_campaign_summary | Totals: answered, failed, human vs machine |
ictdialer_campaign_result | Per-call results (contact, response, AMD, DNC) |
Write tools appear only when ICTDIALER_MCP_ALLOW_WRITE=true:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
ictdialer_start_campaign | Launch a campaign — begins live outbound calling |
ictdialer_stop_campaign | Stop a running campaign |
Safety
The server is read-only by default. Starting a campaign begins live outbound
calling and can cost real money, so ictdialer_start_campaign and
ictdialer_stop_campaign are not registered at all unless you set
ICTDIALER_MCP_ALLOW_WRITE=true.
How it connects
ICTDialer exposes a form-encoded RPC API at {base}/rest/<Method>. Each call carries
the account username and password; the server sends those for you. There is no separate
token to provision.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
