About ictpbx-mcp

ictpbx-mcp is a read-only MCP server for ICTPBX, intended for assistants that need visibility into PBX configuration and live statistics. It retrieves data through the ICTCore REST API and does not place calls or change settings.

Key features

  1. 01PBX statistics
  2. 02List SIP extensions
  3. 03List inbound DID numbers
  4. 04List SIP trunk providers
  5. 05List PBX tenants

Use cases

  1. 01Review extension and device counts
  2. 02Check inbound numbers by tenant
  3. 03Inspect SIP trunk providers
  4. 04View customer organizations on the PBX

MCP support

Exposes ICTPBX state to MCP clients through five read-only tools. It authenticates with the ICTCore REST API and refreshes its JWT automatically.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

Details

From the project README

ictpbx-mcp

A Model Context Protocol server for ICTPBX, the multi-tenant, white-label IP-PBX built on the ICTCore framework by ICT Innovations.

It lets an AI assistant read your PBX state — extensions, DID numbers, SIP trunk providers, tenants and live statistics — over the ICTCore REST API. It is read-only: it never places a call or changes configuration.

Install

npx -y ictpbx-mcp # no install
npm install -g ictpbx-mcp

Requires Node.js 18 or newer.

How it connects

ICTPBX runs on ICTCore, which authenticates with a JWT from POST /authenticate (login by email) and reads it back from the Authorization: Bearer header. The server fetches the token on first use and refreshes it automatically.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
