About Nitrozen

Nitrozen is the hosted MCP server for the Nitrozen.io changelog platform, for managing projects and entries through an MCP client. It supports creating, editing, publishing, and reading changelog content, as well as API token management.

Key features

  1. 01Create and manage changelog projects
  2. 02Create, edit, and delete entries
  3. 03Read public changelog entries
  4. 04List and revoke API tokens
  5. 05View account usage and plan

Use cases

  1. 01Create and publish a project changelog
  2. 02Update an existing changelog entry
  3. 03Read published entries without authentication
  4. 04Manage API tokens for client access

MCP support

The hosted Streamable HTTP MCP server exposes Nitrozen account, project, entry, and token tools. Clients connect to its endpoint using OAuth or a bearer API token; a Docker stdio bridge is also included.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Copy install command
Claude CodeTerminal
Cursor.cursor/mcp.json
VS Code.vscode/mcp.json
Claude Desktopclaude_desktop_config.json
Windsurf~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

Run commands in a terminal; paste JSON into the client’s MCP config and restart. Servers that need sign-in will prompt on first connect.

Nitrozen MCP Server

Official remote Model Context Protocol server for Nitrozen.io, the hosted changelog platform. Let your AI assistant create projects, write and publish changelog entries, and read your public changelog.

Nothing to install: it is a hosted server. This repository holds the Worker source.

Authentication

  • Claude.ai uses OAuth 2.0: add the server URL and authorize in the browser. No token needed.
  • All other clients send an API token in a header: Authorization: Bearer <your-api-token>. Create a token on the API Tokens page (choose the read scope for read-only access).

Requests without a valid token get 401 with a WWW-Authenticate header pointing to https://mcp.nitrozen.io/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
