Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

Environment variables to set
TRUSTAGENT_URLService to query. Defaults to the hosted deployment.
TRUSTAGENT_WALLET_KEYSecretPrivate key of a funded Base wallet. Enables the four paid tools, which settle per call in USDC over x402. Omit to run the free tools only — they need no wallet. Requires the optional peer dependency x402-fetch.
TRUSTAGENT_MAX_PER_CALL_USDRefuse any single paid call above this amount.
TRUSTAGENT_MAX_SESSION_USDTotal spend ceiling across all paid calls in one session. A model looping on a retry is the realistic failure, and a per-call limit does not catch it.

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
