FreeAgent MCP by usefulapi

Work with your FreeAgent books from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — read contacts, invoices, bills, expenses, bank accounts and transactions, projects, timeslips, the tax timeline, profit and loss and the balance sheet; create and update contacts, create draft invoices (never sent) and log timeslips. Hosted, no local install: connect with your FreeAgent account over OAuth.

Connect

• Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://freeagent.usefulapi.io/mcp.
• Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http freeagent https://freeagent.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
• VS Code: Add to VS Code.
• Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and you sign in with your FreeAgent account.

On first connect you'll be sent to FreeAgent to sign in and approve access; no API keys to paste. The server can do only what your FreeAgent user is allowed to do, it never deletes anything, and you can revoke access any time in FreeAgent (Settings → Approved apps).

Pro covers this server only. Subscribe with freeagent_upgrade (it returns a Stripe Checkout link). Cancel any time with freeagent_cancel_subscription: Pro continues to the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period, and running freeagent_upgrade before then undoes the cancel.
