About Magpie Capital
Magpie Capital's read-only MCP server gives researchers and AI agents access to live information about its Solana lending protocol. It provides collateral terms, borrow quotes, wallet loan histories, and risk details without holding keys or signing transactions.
Key features
- 01Query live protocol statistics and 24-hour activity
- 02Browse collateral tokens and lending terms
- 03Get live borrow quotes for tokens and amounts
- 04Inspect wallet loan histories and borrower rankings
- 05Review borrowing risks and liquidation mechanics
Use cases
- 01Research current lending activity and repayment figures
- 02Compare collateral options and their borrowing terms
- 03Estimate a loan using a live quote
- 04Review a wallet's loan record or borrowing risks
MCP support
Exposes read-only Magpie Capital lending data and research tools to MCP clients. It holds no keys and does not sign transactions; borrowing execution uses Magpie's x402 endpoints.
Configuration
Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.
We haven’t collected a package or remote endpoint for this server. Follow the instructions in the project README.
Tools
Local servers expose tools only once running on your machine, and the maintainer has not provided a tool list.
Details
From the project READMEmagpie-mcp
MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for Magpie Capital — the Solana lending protocol for humans and AI agents.
Gives any MCP-capable LLM (Claude, etc.) native tools:
| Tool | What it answers |
|---|---|
magpie_protocol_stats | Live on-chain protocol stats (loans, repayment rate, SOL lent) |
magpie_list_collateral | The full live collateral catalog — 160+ tokens across memecoins, tokenized stocks/ETFs, gold & silver |
magpie_token_terms | "Can I borrow against X, and on what terms?" — per-token LTV/fee/duration ladder |
magpie_x402_guide | How autonomous agents borrow programmatically via x402 payment-gated endpoints |
magpie_borrow_quote | Live borrow quote — real production numbers for any token/amount/tier, prices auto-resolved |
magpie_protocol_pulse | Live 24h aggregates (loans, volume, repays, liquidations) by program version |
magpie_wallet_loans | Any wallet's full on-chain loan history |
magpie_agent_leaderboard | The on-chain credit league — top borrowers by credit score |
magpie_safety_brief | Read before advising a borrow — real risks, no-margin-call terms, liquidation mechanics, Sec3 posture |
Read-only by design: this server holds no keys and signs nothing — the safe one-line mount for research and quoting.
Want your agent to EXECUTE — borrow, arm exits, repay? Use the full 26-tool desk: @magpieloans/magpie-mcp (registry: io.github.magpiecapital/magpie-mcp) — wraps every x402 endpoint, with an optional payer keypair for paid calls. Start here read-only; graduate there to act. Agent-side execution happens through Magpie's x402 endpoints.

New to MCP?
From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.
An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
