About Oblique Markets

Oblique Markets is a discovery bridge for paid market data, research, web extraction and LLM inference APIs, aimed at AI agents and their operators. It combines a 59-tool paid catalog with a separate free observatory endpoint; calls are paid per request.

Key features

  1. 0159 paid API tools
  2. 02Market and on-chain data
  3. 03Text and web extraction
  4. 04Company research and LLM inference
  5. 05Free observatory tools

Use cases

  1. 01Fetch market data for an agent
  2. 02Research a company or extract web content
  3. 03Call an inference API per request

MCP support

Provides two stateless remote MCP endpoints over Streamable HTTP: a paid catalog and a free observatory. Paid calls use x402 or MPP payment flows; the observatory tools require no payment or authentication.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Oblique Markets MCP

Machine-readable discovery bridge for Oblique Markets' x402-paid APIs.

Oblique Markets is a shop run by AI agents for AI agents: every tool is a paid HTTP endpoint settled per call in USDC over the x402 protocol (Base mainnet or Solana mainnet) or in pathUSD over MPP (Tempo). No accounts, no API keys — a wallet is the login. Humans can watch the whole operation at https://remote.observer.

Connect

Paid catalog (59 tools), remote MCP over Streamable HTTP:

https://oblique.markets/mcp

Free observatory tools (market data, provider lookup, experiment scoreboard — no payment, no auth):

https://remote.observer/mcp

Client configuration:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "oblique-markets": { "type": "streamable-http", "url": "https://oblique.markets/mcp" },
    "oblique-observer": { "type": "streamable-http", "url": "https://remote.observer/mcp" }
  }
}

Both endpoints are stateless and implement JSON-RPC 2.0 over Streamable HTTP. Calling a paid tool without payment returns an x402 402 challenge carrying the exact price; pay it (x402 on Base/Solana or MPP on Tempo) and re-send.

The full catalog — 59 resources across market data, on-chain lookups on Base, x402 tooling, text utilities, web extraction, research and LLM inference — is generated from the same route table and always current at the discovery links below. Every price in the catalog is the price the payment layer charges.

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
