About Barzkit — Self Custody Ai Agent Wallets

@barzkit/mcp is an MCP server for operating self-custody ERC-4337 smart-account wallets through AI clients. It covers transfers, token operations, atomic batches, wallet controls, and paid URL fetching.

Key features

  1. 01Create ERC-4337 smart accounts
  2. 02Send ETH and ERC-20 tokens
  3. 03Check balances and swap tokens
  4. 04Deposit tokens into Aave V3
  5. 05Batch transactions atomically
  6. 06Freeze or unfreeze wallets

Use cases

  1. 01Initialize a wallet on a supported network
  2. 02Transfer tokens or review balances
  3. 03Swap tokens or deposit into Aave V3
  4. 04Freeze a wallet or fetch a URL with payment

MCP support

Exposes wallet creation and operation tools to MCP-compatible clients, including Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, and VS Code Copilot. The wallet must be initialized with create_wallet before other tools are used.

Configuration

Local server config is the same for every client. Copy it into your client’s MCP config file.

mcp.json · Universal config
{
"mcpServers": {
"barzkit": {
"command": "npx",
"args": [
"-y",
"@barzkit/mcp"
],
"env": {
"BARZ_OWNER_KEY": "<BARZ_OWNER_KEY>",
"PIMLICO_API_KEY": "<PIMLICO_API_KEY>",
"BARZ_CHAIN": "<BARZ_CHAIN>"
}
}
}
}
Run commandnpx -y @barzkit/mcp
Environment variables to set
BARZ_OWNER_KEYSecret
PIMLICO_API_KEYSecret
BARZ_CHAIN

Local servers need a runtime on your machine (e.g. Node.js 18+). Config file locations differ by client; see your client’s docs.

Add to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "barzkit": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["@barzkit/mcp"]
    }
  }
}
Cursor

Add to .cursor/mcp.json in your project root:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "barzkit": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["@barzkit/mcp"]
    }
  }
}

Same format — add to your MCP configuration file.

Tools

ToolDescription
create_walletCreate a new ERC-4337 smart account on Sepolia, Base Sepolia, or Base
send_transactionSend ETH or ERC-20 tokens to a recipient address
check_balanceCheck wallet balance for ETH or specific token
swap_tokensSwap tokens on Uniswap V3
lend_tokensDeposit tokens into Aave V3 lending pool
batch_transactionsExecute multiple transactions atomically in one UserOperation
freeze_walletEmergency freeze — kill switch
unfreeze_walletResume normal wallet operations
fetch_with_paymentFetch URL with automatic x402 payment

Usage

Once configured, ask your AI assistant:

  • "Create a wallet on Sepolia with my key 0x... and Pimlico key pim_..."
  • "Send 0.01 ETH to 0xABC..."
  • "What's my wallet balance?"
  • "Swap 0.1 ETH for USDC"
  • "Freeze my wallet immediately"

The create_wallet tool must be called first to initialize the wallet before using any other tool.

Programmatic Usage

import { createBarzMcpServer } from '@barzkit/mcp'
import { StdioServerTransport } from '@modelcontextprotocol/sdk/server/stdio.js'

const server = createBarzMcpServer()
const transport = new StdioServerTransport()
await server.connect(transport)

Prerequisites

  • Node.js >= 18
  • Pimlico API key (free tier: 100 UserOps/day)
  • Owner private key

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
