About ilert - MCP Server

The official ilert MCP server lets AI assistants access ilert alerting and incident management resources. It runs remotely over Streamable HTTP and authenticates clients with an API key.

Key features

  1. 01Access alerting resources
  2. 02Access incident management resources
  3. 03Remote Streamable HTTP transport
  4. 04API key authentication

Use cases

  1. 01Review ilert alerting resources
  2. 02Browse incident management information

MCP support

This remote MCP server exposes ilert alerting and incident management resources to AI assistants over Streamable HTTP. Clients authenticate with an API key.

Configuration

Remote servers need no local install. Pick your client, then copy the config or install in one click.

Install MCP Server

The official Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for ilert.

Enables AI assistants to navigate your alerting and incident management resources on ilert.

The ilert MCP server is remote and uses the Streamable HTTP transport.

Usage

See the DOCUMENTATION for instructions on how to connect with the most popular AI agents and coding assistants like Claude, Cline, Cursor and Windsurf.

For custom integrations or integrating with other MCP clients, follow the instructions below:

  1. Log in to the ilert app and open your organization settings.

  2. Click on Profile > API Keys and create a new api key for your user.

  3. Add the following configuration to your AI assistant or MCP client (the configuration schema may differ depending on the implementation):

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "ilert": {
          "type": "streamableHttp",
          "url": "https://mcp.ilert.com/mcp",
          "headers": {
            "Authorization": "Bearer {{YOUR-API-KEY}}"
          }
        }
      }
    }

    For clients that don't support remote MCP servers or that haven't implemented the Streamable HTTP transport yet, you can use a configuration like the following instead:

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "ilert": {
          "command": "npx",
          "args": [
            "-y",
            "mcp-remote",
            "https://mcp.ilert.com/mcp",
            "--header",
            "Authorization: Bearer ${ILERT_AUTH_TOKEN}"
          ],
          "env": {
            "ILERT_AUTH_TOKEN": "{{YOUR-API-KEY}}"
          }
        }
      }
    }

New to MCP?

From what the protocol is to installing your first server, these answers cover most first questions.

An open protocol that defines how AI applications connect to external tools and data in a uniform way. Clients talk to the model; MCP servers provide tools, resources and prompt templates. They exchange standard messages, so one server can be reused by many clients.
